Technically its possible though don't think police or carriers do this as a matter of course.
So my wife's cell phone was stolen tonight and of course, it's stolen when T-mobile doesn't have any live support on. We have the MyTouch 3G and I'm wanting to know if it's possible for either t-mobile... or even better, myself... to track w here the stolen phone is?
Anyone know?

Yes you can. If you provide the bar code of your phone to the police they should be able to track it for you. Your mobile phone must be in use for them to find it. So as soon as the person who stole it will turn it on, they can find him/her even if they changed the sim card and don't use the same phone number. That's how we do it in Tunisia anyways![]()
You must have to install any reputable tracking software on your wife' s mobile phone. There are many mobile tracking software are available in the market.
