I did it. Instructions that were provided work great! I downloaded one of the custom ones. I did the N1_Incredible_BlackSwypeMod_Red.zip. It will take some getting use to. It's an entirely different way to text. Feels very strange right now, but I'll give it some time.

*edit - It only took about 5 minutes to do!

I use swype almost all the time. I'm at the point where if I have my finger on the first letter, I can finish the word without even looking at the screen. It's awesome! The only downside is the Enter button doesn't always submit a request, so you have to hit back and manually hit send.

The swype sight says that the beta is closed. Any other place I could get the download?

If you look at the third post there is a link to the apk. I followed the directions and downloaded from that link and it installed beautifully on my Evo! Never used swype before but always been interested. I "swyped" out a few test texts and it was really easy with minimal mistakes. I'll give it a few days to see how I like it but I can totally see how this can make texting WAY faster.

swype for the evo has replaced my regular keyboard completely. Ive tried it on other devices but the screen size it what makes this work on this phone.
