I can't text certain people

Ok im very new to having an android phone. So if you can help please talk to me like im five cuz i have no clue what im doing.
It asked me to do a system update so i did. and now when i go to text certain people in my contacts the text wont send. it doesnt fail it just doesnt send. and then when i hit back it saves it as a draft but never sends it. even people in favorites list. i was able to text everyone before. has anyone had this problem or know how i can solve it. and please speak very slowly and with little words lol. thank you all!

I would first try an alternative text sending method. Try downloading "handcent" from the market. If that doesn't work, get a google voice account set up and download the google voice app from the market. Sign into google voice app with your new credentials from the new google voice account you've created. I hope that made sense. The reason I suggest google voice is that it routes text messages through the internet in stead of routing it through the cell signal. It sounds like whatever update you did may have messed up or put a bad radio on your phone which would affect your ability to send text and/or the quality of cell conversations. Just type "google voice signup" into google. Also, you could try going to xda.com and search for your phone and download the most stable radio and apply it. That would fix the likely root of your problem, Rather than a workaround. Good Luck, hope it helped a little.
