Evo reboots on it's own

There was a very long thread about this at Android Central when the EVO was released. Most people reported that the problem went away after the June 29th update.

My wife had her EVO reboot twice, but the problem went away when she uninstalled Advanced Task Killer.

I've had the evo for some months now and it was fine until a couple of weeks ago it started shutting off and on by itself. I uninstalled a lot of apps hoping it would help but it didn't. I don't want to get a hard reset because off certain apps that I have I will have to start over again. Anybody have suggestions?

my rooted phone only reboots when its cpu is at its limit. meaning too many apps are open and running all at the same time.
