Evo reboots on it's own

I thought when this happen before my battery died or some function I did made the phone reboot, well today while I was talking to someone in the middle of the conversation the phone just rebooted on me. I'm wondering if because I root the phone with unrevoked if this is causing the problem, my wife and I have close to the same apps except hers isn't rooted and her phone hasn't just rebooted out of no where. It could be something else causing this but I don't know yet.

Any thought would be great as I'm going to search this forum again and other forums for this issue.

i rooted through unrevoked and havent had a random reboot.... yet. Ill let you know if it happens to me, but right now your best bet might just be checking out the apps because that can cause random reboots.

I am not rooted, but I saw my Evo reboot automatically about 20 minutes ago. Was the first time I had ever seen that happen. I did install a new app last night, so if it continues, I'll have to remove it to see if that's the cause.

Mine is not rooted either. It rebooted a few times until I finally decided to just do a hard reset. It hasn't rebooted since. Mustve been an app I installed. I guess that's the double edge sword of being so open - you have to be more careful about what you install.

I don't think open has anything to do with the reboots. Unfortunately I don't know what would be causing them.

I saw my girlfriend's reboot yesterday, these are the apps we've installed to it. Do any of these look familiar to those who have had reboot issues? I have these as well and have not had a reboot, neither EVO is rooted.

Ive had mine for a few days. Two reboots. (One today while in a call.)
I have not rooted it yet.
I'm new to Android and am trying out lots of apps, so I'll chalk it up to an app not playing nicely with my device or with another app.
Time will tell.
Aside from that, I'm in heaven. Lots of years playing with and tweaking Pocket PCs and Windows Mobile devices, and Android is a breath of fresh air and the hardware is very impressive.

I've removed android task killer, so far so good, but I made some other changes that I don't remember but I didn't remove any other apps, it's been a week and no reboots

Mine has rebooted 3 times on me during phone calls.

My Evo has rebooted twice in the 6 weeks I've had the phone, both while doing Google navigation (with satellite overlay on -- so retrieving a lot of 3G data to show picture data AND on was a phone call at the same time. I also had podcasts playing in the background, but it was auto-paused due to phone call. Actually, the first reboot (a few days before the 2nd) I was not on a phone call, but was navigating with satellite overlay and streaming Pandora music over 3G. Phone was pretty warm both times. Also was plugged into car power both times. Phone not rooted.

People who have had reboots and post to this thread -- please state what was running when it rebooted. On power (car) or USB charging or on pure battery?. Rooted?
