T-Mobile G1 First Review From Community Member

Video playback is very limited. Would not play .mpg or .wmv files which are pretty much standard when it comes to videos downloaded off the net.

Specs clearly states that .WMV's, .MPG, and the like are all supported on the G1. It makes me wonder if T-Mobile lied to us in the specs!

Ok I say we make a rule right here that untill the actual release date anyone claiming to have received the phone early MUST post pictures to prove it. The picture must show some item that redily identifies the date the picture was taken, for instance the front page of a newspaper. Any thread that does not comply with this should be deleted as spam.

What does everyone think?

Well i just checked this guys status, and other posts by him. He's been saying that he's had this phone now for a few days. In one post he even said that he would post up picks of G1 next to a newspaper. Guess what guys???? No pics and no newspaper. Damnit, and I wanted to read the sports!

Sorry buddy but you're running on fumes now. If I had the phone, and pretty much like everyone here.... you would be seeing a crap load of pics.

You had a chance to be our hero in the G1 world, but now.... you're ummmm.... just another nothing that got our hopes up.

Actually he said "I'll post the pics tomorrow sometime with a paper in the background with my alias for validation" and he was talking about verifying he's a T-Mobile employee not that he has the phone.

I know that we're all excited about our phones and that it's easy to doubt people's claims (especially when it comes to having a G1 already) but it doesn't mean we should be disrespectful, rude, or mean. If you feel someone is lying or misleading the community please let a mod know. You can click the report post icon so we can look at it.
