Rooted my phone. Car charger now doesn't work
i rooted my phone for only one reason, and now i could honestly care less about having it rooted anymore.
for some reason, my phone would not allow me to download or even VIEW paid apps from the market. i bought it brand new last week, and my wife also got one at the same time. she was able to look at and buy paid apps, but i wasn't. i called t-mobile and they were no help, and told me to contact google about it (which is a lost cause in itself)
anyways, i read a post where a guy said he rooted his phone when having this issue and the problem was resolved. low and behold, after rooting i downloaded the app i wanted with no problem. but now my g1 doesn't recognize my car charger, which is a bigger issue since i often charge my phone in the car. i don't necessarily care about any of the other "advantages" of having root, so i'd like to revert to stock firmware
i have searched and searched for a tutorial to no avail. i keep seeing people say "just do a wipe", or "download the stock fw and re-update" or "put the RC29 back on it and it will auto update", or the worst of them all "just keep it rooted, no reason to remove it". none of these solutions necessarily help me since they are all different solutions and i want to do it the right way.
can someone just give me the steps? i'd really appreciate it, thanks
