Default Root/Theme/Cache/App question

So, when your G1 is rooted and you moved your apps and most of the cache to the SD card...does that change when you go to a theme?

How about when you re-flash the phone back to the rooted RC33 with no theme? (usually what I do between theme changes)

Edit:
Also sorry if this has been discussed before. I just don't feel like searching AC or xda right now.

It's the icky juice thread!... ...... .. .... .

From what I have read when you flash back you should have to repoint - But I know you will not have to reinstall applications or anything like that.. Ask Constellation I think he had a thread about it

I could have sworn I read that when you flashed a theme on there it didn't change the apps or anything, but you never know.

(and I know it doesn't uninstall any apps. )

Im pretty sure its anytime you do an update you will have to redo the symlinks. It also matters how you did the move. If you did it via lucidREM's JF1.xx_MOD file then you dont have to because its already built in. Lucid's MOD file does have the stock media so if you're running a larger size theme you might have to manually remove them.

Same should be true for TermEmu as it is for adb.

Hmmm....now what if you take out the SD card and re-insert it? Do you have to re-do all the commands?

Hi Juice,

i had to Re-flash last week cuz my messaging apps broke, Running JF 1.41 RC8.
when i flashed i lost my symlinks to apps/caches on the SD card, only took 5 mins to re-do them thru the terminal app !

but u wont lose ur apps. as soon as u finish the Symlink for apps on sd card they all appear back in your Menu

Ha ha ha ha. I know this. I'm not worried about that. I was just wondering if the commands would still be in effect.

Either way I have no problem re-typing the commands. I will just have to keep them in my wallet or something just incase I'm not near a computer when I need to type them in.
