So I have some stupid ass speech class and I need to do a persuasive speech this week. I figured something about smartphones , Iphone to Android's future type of deal. I already have most of my speech done, but I don't wanna leave any key points out ..

so why is android the future ? (wanna cross compaire your info with mine)

google is following microsoft's model of marketing an OS independent of hardware that any manufacturer can use. think PC vs Apple, but even better because Android is open source. it's a winning market strategy.

PS- don't flame me on the microsoft analogy; i don't like them either. but they had a good plan early on.

Remember the Android OS is meant to expand EVERYWHERE. I'm sure Google expects no less that their operating system to end up running our cars, televisions, etc.

This is true, the Android platform will be on netbooks shortly, how long until it becomes a full fledged desktop os?
As far as android vs apple goes, the android gives users (almost) complete freedom to do what they wish with their device. Apps are fairly easy to program and install on the device, and with the help of certain apps or by rooting the phone, you can customize the looks of an android device, something Apple still will not allow on their devices.
