Read the rest of the threads. I already gave you the path to getting to those options.

Isn't that what you are looking for?
that doesnt it do, there just option to set those screen patterns, not to TURN THE SCREEN LOCK COMPLETLY OFF

I am right genius. There is no way to just wake up the phone by just pressing one button... You either have to press menu twice, or press it & then do the unlock pattern. So next time make sure your right before being an as*hole!

Okay, I'm beginning to understand what you are asking for.

You cannot disable the traditional screen lock. This is to prevent accidental button pressing. Frankly, I don't see how pressing Menu twice (or any combination of buttons with menu) to unlock your phone is that big a deal.

I find it annoying when I call my voicemail for work. I have to keep pressing the menu button between each call so that I can get to the keypad to save/delete/etc the messages and go on to the next ones. Otherwise I like it-my phones have made plenty of calls from my pocket.
