Hey all, I desperately want to use my Google calendar with android! I have it setup and every time I make a change to my Google calendar on some other computer my changes are overwritten by the android OS. =( I’ve tried turning the phone off, making my changes, and turning the phone back on and although it syncs up correctly initially, it eventually (~1-2 hrs) overwrites my Google calendar again. =(
Any ideas?! Regards, Bryan Callahan |

I just added an event on my calendar from the computer, and it synced down to my phone just as expected. Not sure why it isn't working for you.

yeah, google calender is like the only thing I haven't had issues with lol... although contacts and Gmail have been working flawlessly since RC30.. But I make changes and sync and the changes occur on my phone.. if I make changes on my phone and sync I see the changes on my computer.
It's weird that they take effect and then reverse themselves... Just don't have your calenders set to autosync... just sync it whenever you make changes. |

It appears that there still is an issue in sync from Google Calendar -> Android. It appears that repeating events (even those that appear correctly in Google Calendar) do not get put down to the Android phone.
Not sure why it works sometimes. Still trying to find a workaround, but none found so far. If anyone knows of a workaround, please post! |

this has been addressed in the cyanogen bug tracker. the bug generally only applies to cyan's roms but has been seen on others as well.\
http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod...ars%20Modified to fix, delete all yearly events, birthdays etc. from your google calendar online. then on your phone, go into settings > app data > and clear the data from the calendar and calendar storage entries. then you may need to reboot then manually sync. at this point if you're syncing again, you can re-add all yearly events and it should continue to work. this has been the generally accepted fix until a real code change is found. |
