Re: Android Functionality Questions
There is auto-correct option, which is called "Quick Fixes" (which corrects common typos) and "Auto-complete" (which means pressing the spacebar or . inserts the highlighted suggested word) in Menu -> Settings -> Locale & text -> Android keyboard. This isn't quite what you mean though. As far as I know there's no way to tell it to auto-correct "u" to "you" for example.
Screen lock - not as far as I know, that's just the way it works. But I have seen other threads about this on this forum - maybe give them a search and see if someone knows more.
Voice notes - no idea. Can the Music Player play them?
Files in MMS - When I go to make a new message, and click Menu -> Attach, I can insert Pictures, Videos, and Audio. For anything else I'd use email.
SMS messages - there are a few SMS backup apps on the Market that might do what you want. You could also just not delete them so you can view them later?
Picture - if you really do want a very small picture to not be zoomed in then you'll have to cut out the bit you want and add a border around it on your PC, then copy it back and you'll have a small picture on your screen surrounded by a black border... maybe I misunderstand, but if you mean that you set a background picture and it zooms in so you can only see the middle part of the picture then it's doing that because you're telling it to! If you don't want it to do that then you need to select the are of the picture you do want to see. To do this, after selecting a picture for your background, you'll see a orange bordered box in the middle of the image which shows the part of the image it's going to use for the background. Just drag the edges of this box outwards to make it bigger. You can fill the screen if you want.
