Depends on how good your vision isYou can always zoom in and out as needed, but I think it will work OK.
If you're just reading plain text, then look at the Kindle. The e-ink is easier on your eyes.
Is a 7 inch tablet good for reading textbooks? (pages that has a lot of words or two columns of content...)

I am not a fan of the eink ereaders because most of them use a button to pan around which I find time consuming and annoying.. and it's black and white.
I did look at the Kindle Fire but ehh.. not sure. It's really tempting but.. no microSD, and I don't know if a 7 inch tablet display is good or not for reading textbook stuff... I know I can zoom in and out but if I have to do lots of panning on a page, it will become a annoyance, but 7 inch is a nice size.
uPlay(TM) PhonePad is the first 3-in-1 7″ tablet, GPS, and unlocked 3G Phone. Now you don’t have to carry a phone and a tablet any more! It’s very stylish, has very high built quality, and is quite robust.
