Hi everyone,
I'm a complete newcomer to the android world having just received a tablet for Christmas ( it's a 7" device apparently called E-Tab or MID and it runs Android 3 Honeycomb ).
I have immediately encountered a major problem ;- I went to the Android Market to install a couple of apps - a pdf reader and a decent photo viewer. I click instal and am asked to sign-in with my Google ID, I am then asked to name the device to install to but the field for inserting this information already contains the name of some Vodaphone device that I have never heard of. There is no apparent means to remove this entry ( though even if there was, I wouldn't know what to replace it with) and, of course, a message then appears advising that my "device" is not compatible with the app I'm trying to obtain.
I am, therefore, totally stuck with a device that can't identify itself properly and obviously will remain pretty useless until this problem is overcome.
I admit to not being very savvy about tech, stuff ( an age thing !) but I do hope someone can shed some light on this problem for me.

PS I hope I've posted this in the right place.
