I'm having some issues rooting.
I'm following this tutorial to unlock the bootloader. When I run the fastboot in the command prompt I get "waiting for device." I seen this all over the place and ultimately concluded I'm having driver issues. I ensured my drivers were up to date with the SDK. In my device manager (I'm running Windows XP Pro) the drivers appear to be up to date. Is there an even more up to date driver somewhere?
See if this driver helps.

Here are some other super boot files.

This is the link I used to root but that was back in January.

Getting there... I think rooting and romming my G1 was 100x easier.
Anyways. I got Amon Ra installed and actually did a nandroid with it. I did a regular boot to the homescreen, transferred Enom's ROM onto the SD card, rebooted into bootloader, then recovery and went back to the exclamation mark. WTF? I just had Amon Ra on there.
Any help?
Edit: note, I used Super Manager and seen that /system/etc/install-recovery.sh and /system/recovery-from-boot.p were back again after I deleted them and flashed Amon Ra. Could this be the problem? How do I get them off of there permanently... They keep coming back.
Edit 2: I also used Android Mate to remove these files and it says they've been removed, but they're still in the folder.
Edit 3: ran "mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system" and then deleted the files. Reinstalled Amon Ra and it worked. We'll see if it sticks around for a while. Flashing Enoms now.

It took me long enough but I got Enoms up. Just following the basic directions for the installs wasn't doing it. I had to dig deep into the threads (sometimes 100+ pages of posts) just to find where my potential problem is then someone says "fixed it!" and never tells how they did it so I ended up googling stuff I don't know anything about.
I don't know how I accomplished it, but I've Amon Ra and Enoms latest. *sigh* time to play![]()
