Default Nexus One OTA Gingerbread Update?

Did I miss something or has Google still not sent this out? Any idea what is holding this up?

yup. El goog promised that nexus one would receive the update in "the coming weeks." That was Dec. 3. Two months ago! I'm frustrated with waiting. I know N1 is compatible. It certainly seems to me that they are holding it up to boost Nexus S sales.

I'm pretty pissed about the whole thing to be honest. I mean all the N1 users paid $575 including tax for our phones and we only get one major update (2.2) out of it? I think their promises of quick updates have not been true. El goog left us in the dust with the N1.

That being said, I still prefer android to apple and think the innovations are going to happen on our side first.

I'm going to get the HTC pyramid when it comes to T-mob and sell my N1 they are going for around $350 for in good condition. So hopefully I'll make some money on the whole deal. I'd recommend you do the same.

The reason we haven't gotten an update yet is because of the massive amount of bugs (such as crashing telephone calls) and similar that are being reported from Nexus S users.

Once they resolve the critical bugs, I fully expect to get an update.

With all the focus on Honeycomb and carrier antipathy towards updates, hopefully they're still working on Gingerbread

CM7 seems to be running pretty good so far. If you want gingerbread, that is probably your best bet right now.

What's the market like for AT&T N1's right now? I was just looking at Craigslist and all I see are a bunch of T-mobile versions (of course they all say you can use it on AT&T, but don't mention the lack of AT&T 3G support).
