Nexus One Accessories

I do not know about everyone else, but I was looking forward to hearing about Nexus One accessories during the press release today. I was somewhat disappointed that I could not look at a car/home dock that would work with my NexusOne.

I am sure that these accessories will be available in the future (hopefully sooner than later and not too expensive!) but it would have been nice to announce them alongside of the device release.

I really like the idea of a home dock to have on my night stand to charge the device but also put it into a docked mode (show weather, clock, etc). The car dock would also be handy for navigation.

What are everyone else's thoughts? Also, I am unsure whether I plan to get any sort of case or holster for my N1 yet. The thing is so damn sexy I do not want to cover up its beauty but I do not want to ding it up either. I am hoping the screen is scratch-resistant like the Droid's.

Seidio looks like they will be selling Nexus One accessories. Hope that helps!

i hear you. i'd like to know what's up with this bluetooth dock and a rumored home theater integration. streaming music? picture gallery / video output to tv? why bluetooth? i have no idea.

on a side note, i kinda wish the N1 could handle a wireless charging pad, but that's just a thought...

I do like Seidio cases and holsters. They make some solid products!! But again, I do not want to hide the NexusOne behind some case and add bulk...

I like the design of the device and I think it would look awkward with any sort of case since the majority of the device is all screen. Just my opinion.

And I doubt we will see any wireless charging, although I understand you were saying it would be a cool "what if" sort of thing. The NexusOne already has the metal charging and docking contacts in the bottom of the phone

Also, I guess the VZW Moto Droid docks have been announced but are not available yet directly from Motorola's website. Are those docks even available for purchase yet from Verizon?

I guess we just have to be patient for the accessories since the phone was announced yesterday.
