Gallery (com.cooliris.media Force Close)

I was facing a problem with the Gallery Application on Nexus One (Froyo):
Once i open the Gallery , it starts loading the albums and it takes forever then after a while the process com.cooliris.media force close.

After some research i did the following:

1. Deleted all the files under sd:\DCIM\.thumbnails
2. Delete all the files under sd:\Android\data\com.cooliris.media

The helped with force close issue but still the Gallery took a lot of time to open, load albums and was slow in general!

So i moved all the photos and videos from the SD card, repeated the above two steps. Its a fresh start now (not so fresh, i could have restored factory settings) and now the Gallery is working fine..lets see if it will give me any problems when the photos start to accumulate!

Its worth noting that the problem started when i moved a folder containing photos to the SD card, each photo around 5 MB, and the phone already contained 400+ photos.

Did anyone have similar problems?

Yeah I had it on 2.1 as soon as I updated to 2.2 it went away. I couldn't fix it with anything I tried. It's an issue in Google's bug tracker. And It's very annoying.

so far the solution above is working fine...but i didnt try to add any big photos

Excuse me! I had that problem too ... My fone is running android 2.3 .. I want to set wallpaper at my gallery.when i opened and "set as",that problem was appeared and force close .. I can't set my wallpaper at background .. please tell me how to solve that problem ... thanks for that
