I was trying to use the VVM , using the icon on the Droid, but its telling me that I'm ineligible for that feature ? Do I have to change my plan in order to get it?
Thanks

I don't own a Droid, but when I priced one out on Verizon's website it had visual voicemail as an option for like $2.99/month
Youmail has a VVM download...its free, and you can sign up at Youmail.com for the voicemail service...which is also free
I have used it for years and its great, you can assign different messages based on the phone number calling...you can even have "ditch mail" so certain numbers are not able to leave messages.

I am using Google Voicemail (not google voice but you do have to have a google voice account) and it is working great. Then I have the google voice app and can manage my VM's right there. Best option if you can get into Google Voice. I have been a memeber since grand central though.
I called Verizon about Visual Voicemail not working. They said it was because I am a former Alltel customer and the transition is not complete.... and that it would be a bit before it works.
I assume it would work for regular verizon folk, especially since the link was right on the Droid when i first fired it up.
so visual voice-mail is just voice-mail, but from a visual perspective without having to push buttons through a voice system... well at least i know now.
Finally got the invitation to Google Voice and everything is working great !!!!!
You'll love it once you get it.
Thanks
