USB host on Droid?

Anyone know if it would be possible for the Motorola Droid to act as a USB Host so that one could for example connect a card reader to it so that you could transfer pictures off a camera card to your Droid?

I usually bring my laptop on trips with me so that I can move pictures to the laptop if I fill up all of the memory cards I have for my camera so that I can continue taking pictures. I'd rather just bring along my Droid and use it for this purpose.

I believe you can do this with an iPod using the iPod camera connector, so I'm hoping that this might be possible for the Droid.
