Tasks Randomly start

I downloaded taskiller to stop apps but after I stop them I check back later and they started up again when I didn't even start them,why is that?

Because thing's like alarm clocks and calendars and twitter apps and messaging apps or network things need to periodotically check in to make sure they're on time.

just like the clock has to take up some CPU and all to always be correct and you can't kill that task because it has to update and check in every second. That sort of thing.
