    Angry Stock apps crashing

Hoping that someone can shed light on this issue. I am constantly running into an issue where the phone will let me dial, but when I hit send it freezes for a few seconds and then returns to the home screen. If I try to select a contact and dial that way I get the same results.
The next issue that pops up frequently deals with texts. I'll attempt to reply to a text and I'll get the spinning circle for a few mins and then the send fails. But after it fails, I receive the message that I was replying to 3 or 4 times in a row. No amount of battery pulls or reboots seems to solve the issue. Has anyone else had similar issues?

i would try a factory reset.

or if you're phone is rooted, reflashing it.

you probably have a bunch of texts saved on your phone , delete . also , emptying your caches , like browser cache can help . also , download taskiller free from the market to kill background apps . a factory reset would probably help a great deal .

I use taskiller so thats not a solution. Being an earlier adopter of the G1, I have gotten used to factory resets. Im just putting it out there to see if this is a common issue, or if I just have to bite the bullet. Finally get the phone the way I like it and BAM... Thanks for the suggestions!
