shortcut menu on home page

Ok so my grandson was playing games on my phone and now I have a shortcut menu that has WiFi, Bluetooth, Brightness, and something else on it that I can't get rid of. I have tried dragging it to the trash and it won't go. Any suggestions?

Have you tried long pressing it (press and hold). Pick an empty spot on the widget (that bar is part of the widgets, not a normal shortcut) to press so you don't accidentally press the buttons on the widget instead. The whole bar should pop up a bit and then you can drag it to the trash. It should work like removing a normal shortcut.
