Gmail not always working

Since i have the Droid i all of a sudden stop reciving gmail to the phone. I did a google search and someone said to turn off the sync then shut the phone off turn it back on and turn the sync back on for gmail this seemed to solve the problem but i had to do it 3 times in the week i own it. Anyone else having issue like this?

I noticed this happening to me also sometimes on my new Droid. I am not sure what it is but it usually fixes itself. I do have the Taskiller program and kill my tasks all the time I tried adding Gmail to the ignore list and testing but it didn't help either.

I have my inbox as syncing all, i turned off my sent box from syncing this morning and the mail worked again. Not sure if this was why but it makes me wonder if you make a change to a setting..

The push email doesn't seem as "pushy" anymore...I was blaming it on a rom issue, but if the droid is experiencing it, maybe it's on google's side...

Yea now since my last reset it seems fine. another odd thing is the Facebook app that is pre-installed on the droid is acting odd with my profile picutre. I changed my profile picture on Facebook on my computer and when i look at my profile on the phone it shows the new profile picture for a second and reverts to an old one. I know that it most likely is chached somewhere on the phone... and its only my profile that shows the wrong picture... just acting odd. I was wondering if anyone else gets that?
