First day Motorola Cliq Review (positive)

I think both (battery life & slider) are the most complains about the G1 and if the Cliq is better, then I just may switch.

I had both the G1 and the MT3G and I now have the Cliq. Battery life is very good, I typically get about 16 hours- and this is with wi-fi on.

It's a very sturdy phone and isn't as laggy as the MT3G was.

I feel that the Droid is kind of an ugly looking phone and I don't like Verizon so I went with the Cliq. I have had no issues.

Totally agree with the review. I have had the phone for sometime now got it early for working with tmo, coming from a non-smartphone (sony ericsson w200 don't laugh lol) its a great phone, the only downside to it is that we haven't had any announcement for an Android upgrade to 1.6 nor 2.0, but aside that I'm really happy with the cliq

Hey Squirrel - totally agree with your observations.

Also coming from a MT3G (and iPhone)... the Cliq is definitely less laggy, in fact; not laggy at all (for me). Battery life is also better than the MT3G; not outstanding but reasonably decent (heavy WiFi user too).

I really, REALLY wanted to like the Droid but found it very underwhelming (and ugly). The keyboard is pretty poor too. Sure; having Android 2.0 would be cool & all (Google Maps w/ Nav) but it just didn't feel right in my hand at all... and I would have been saddled with 2 yrs of Verizon's high prices and customer arrogance.

Very happy with the Cliq (after 3 weeks now)...
