When will Froyo be available for the Vibrant?

from samsung website. dont need it until update is released. IF ever.

I read that the Nexus S coming out has about the same specs as the Vibrant (both by Samsung) and the Nexus S will be released with Gingerbread. The article went on to suggest that Samsung may skip Froyo for the Vibrant and update it with Gingerbread.
Either way I don't see an update anytime soon.
