Regarding the question the thread asks. I have no interest in a class action lawsuit or twitter campaign.
Initially I was disappointed by the lack of a Froyo update, but then I went out and resolved the issue with a custom ROM. I'm very happy and for me this probably is working out better than the stock build anyway.
I probably should thank Samsung's lack of an update to give me the courage to try the custom ROMs. They certainly have made the phone even better.
Not sure if Samsung's slowness or unwillingness to update older products will have an impact on my future buying decisions. Seems like Samsung isn't alone in this type of behavior. Not sure if going with another brand will improve my odds.
@Ravy I actually didn't think of it that way; having the incentive to go and try a rom is good and exposed me to a lot of new and good things for my phone.
