Default SMTP problem with Galaxy Spica I5700

    Hello,

I've got a problem configuring the stock mail client of my galaxy spica I5700.

I try to configure it so I can read my hotmail on it, but it can't connect to the smtp server.

Connecting to the POP3 server goes fine, but then when it tries to connect to the SMTP server, it says: "cannot connect to server"

I'm trying this via my Home WiFi, and I've made sure port 25 was open.

    I filled in this info:

    Incoming
    server: pop3.live.com
    user: email@hotmail.com
    pasw: hotmailpass
    security: SSL (always)
    port:995

    Outgoing
    server: smtp.live.com
    user: email@hotmail.com
    pasw: hotmailpass
    Security: TLS (always)
    port: 25

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I find it quite strange that connecting to the pop3 server goes without a problem, but connecting to t de SMTP server doens't work out...

    thx

I have exactly the same problem with my Galaxy Spice I5700...I have tried the ports 587 and 25.. non of them seem to work..

Is there anybody who has a solution for this problem...
