Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant or HTC Desire Z?

I'm debating between these two phones. I was all aboard getting the Galaxy however being with Bell Mobility (Canada), I've heard there's major defects with the phone, rendering them useless. Also, it seems as though Samsung doesnt really care about these issues and as much as the phone is important, so is its company's customer service.

HTC Desire Z looks like a good alternative but I don't know much about it other than it has a keyboard and it's heavy. Which phone would you guys recommend?

galaxy will give you Faster phone, Super AMOLED screen which makes everything your looking at beautiful. Despite the lightweight structure of the phone it is a beast underneath if your willing to root it and add custom ROMS. IF your not then you will have to wait for Samsung to get off their lazy butts and send an OTA Froyo update.
THE Desire on the other hand comes with 2.2 Froyo and its an OK phone its not as fast it has an 800hmz processor vs the 1gh hummingbird of the galaxy. But I do like the simple things of the desire like its comes with a camera flash. The keyboard also looks really good. BUT can you live without a keyboard?

The thing is, the Galaxy WAS my first choice, but here in Canada, SGS Vibrants are defective and its memory card or something shuts down and the phones stop to work. I don't want to have that happen to me which is why I was thinking about HTC Desire Z but if I can be assured that issuer WOULDN'T happen to me I'd most definitely go for the Galaxy.
