need help! just got this mobile GT-I5503 for only almost a week and i not quite happy as i am encountering a lot of hassles, can anybody help pls...
1. I am in dubai now and i tried to follow the instruction to key in *#272*time* but nothing came out to my screen after pressing call it shows only "conditional call forwarding active"?
2. Cant seem to inquire my balance, I am receiving MMI complete message.
3. I just loaded aed 50 and only sent 1 sms...my load is gone!!! i think my phone is eating my credit.
NEED HELP! wud really appreciate
I've been fighting with the same thing here in Dubai, but I have found a couple answers.
1-regarding inquiring about minutes, I found (I use Etisalat) CALLING 121 works, but TEXTING *121# does not.
2-the BIG one is how to turn off the internet so you're not burning through your minutes like wild fire, switch the phone to 2G instead of 3G, then you can turn off the Always On Mobile. I went through about 3 months worth of minutes in about 4 days before figured this one out. You want to make sure the 3G icon is not showing at the top of your phone.
I think I may have gotten my phone to be just a phone which is a relief. Now I can try to figure out the 100 other completely complicated things about this phone.
Does anyone know of a place to buy phone covers for the Galaxy 5?
the setting for turning off the internet over gprs/edge can be found here:
settings>wireless & networks>mobile networks>enable always-on mobile data
turn it off and the data roaming one too.
1. . ensure your Galaxy S Phone is set to use 24-hour format
(applications-> Settings-> date and time -> Use 24-hour format
2. launch the PhonePad
3. enter the following
*#272* the follow it with the time on the phone (4 digits) then follow it with #
example, the time on my phone now is 18:51 hence I shall enter *#272*1851#
4. the phone shall display a new window.
(BEFORE PROCEEDING SEE EXTORIAN'S WARNING BELOW)
5. select "XSG" and hit "install"

hi! i have a question. hope someone will help. i'm new to the samsung galaxy experience... i love the applications from the android market. i'm aware that all the downloads go straight to the phone memory. it says in the manual that "...to save the files to the SD memory card, connect your device to a PC and copy them from moviNAND to SD memory card." but it doesn't work. i was advised that same with iPAD, i have to jailbreak it first or something. do i really have to do that? is there no other way? thank u.
hi im vera here..im using samsung GTI5503 and can sumone advice or guide me how to use/install 3G in my phone..........
Go to Menu > Tools > Settings [ if settings not here then check other folders ]
then go to Connection > Access Points > Create New Access Point > Default Settings
and then change the Access Point Name [APN] to the one given.
leave everything as it is...
If this doesn't works, then Call Your simcard's customer care and say the Phone model number. and the phone number then they will send you the settings save them and switch off your phone and again switch on. then connect.
java eclipse
