Samsung Behold 2 Opinions

For users that actually have this phone, what is your opinion on it? How does it perform and was it worth the purchase? My girlfriend really likes it so i want to know what you all think about it.

I won one and used it for a couple of weeks, before I sold it. The ui really sucks, you need to use one of the home replacements to make it look like android. Can't remember but I think it is still on 1.5, which really sucks. The camera and gallery are really nice. Over all it's not a bad phone but when you are used to a rooted phone it's just not there yet. Here's a link to a forum I rooted around on when I had the phone.

I checked one out, it seems slow, stuck on Android 1.5 and has virtually no internal memory for apps. It actually has LESS memory for apps than the G1 which I thought was next to impossible. My G1 was giving me low memory warnings a month after I bought it before I rooted it and did Apps2SD. If she wants it for the touch screen and nice camera, she'll love it, but if she wants a real Android smartphone...look somewhere else.

i have a g1 a cliq and a behold II i do like the behold but it is a lil dogged down with touch wiz and the ui actually prevents the seamless use of certain apps like messaging cuz you cannot disable factory notifications on this phone but it is a cool phone nonetheless for other reasons

I got it for free as an upgrade and I love it. I'm using BH_MAN's 1.6 ROM (No twiz, Busybox, with Rooted Kernel) currently and it is amazing. Super fast, reliable, and the battery lasts for days!
