Hi everyone. I just got a Captivate today and have been able to download ringtones (made using makeownringtone.com and downloaded to my desktop, then copied to my phone) and am having the same problem whenever I try to set a custom ringtone. I've disabled Sync and deleted/re-entered all of my contacts copied from my old phone in case that was the problem, but the same thing happens (my ringtones are stored on an SD card; would moving them to the phone storage help any?).

help i cant use my phone. i really do not want to factory reset it. this is my last hope. i have done a hard & soft reset. i have also attempted to get the log collector app yet my phone is so messed I canot get it. i dont use google contacts
