Hey Nickervision, I currently have theLG EVE GW620.

To change your notification ringtone or any ringtone you go on SETTINGS then on SOUND&DISPLAY and you select the ringtone you want to modify, and when you do, you have the choice to select a android rintone. IF you don't want anandroid ringtone you can always go on your MUSIC then SELECT A SONG and while its playing you PRESS THE MENU KEY and it will show you OPTIONS as well as selecting it for your ringtone.

Well your not alone,I. Got my gw620 at t.mobile end of january soon as I got it home it keeped freezing on ,I couldent turn off or on or do anything without taken the battery out with it still on,it was so anoying,I got it on upgradeafter my g1in the end I took it back to the shop,waited a week for it to be fix,got it home worse then befor force closing cuting me off battery not charging couldent get on web,took it back again,waited two weeks this time,got it home,same old things took it back again gave me a new one had to wait two weeks,got home after couple days started playing up,piss of put it back in the box,went And brought the pulse from t.mobile on pay as ugo and Out of the g1 the hero and the gw260 its the best put my contract sim in it goes really well and Does everything the other phones did I don't. Want to look at my gw620 bloody thing,i thought t.mob would have let me choose another type of phone but no sorry to not be able to tell any good news, its going alright now but still not perfit id just rather use the pulse going to sell my gw620. Good luck with yours hope u get it fixed because they are loverly phones when there working well. Ann .

I have recently bought the LG GW620 and ever since I've been having problems on the other end with phone calls. No one can hear me speak while talking unless I were to talk very loudly. The sound on my end is VERY clear I sometimes wonder if it is on speaker.
Anyone else having the same problem or there could be something wrong with my device?

Hi there everyone,

I've got the LG Eve, which, in Korea, is known as the Andro-1 or KH5200.

My relationship with this phone has been Hate / Love / Hate / Love, thus far.

At first, I hated it because it didn't have WPA-Enterprise WiFi security built in, and because all of the help I could find in Korea was in a very difficult language...Korean!

Then I discovered AC, and I began using my University student IT majors to help me troubleshoot. Shortly thereafter, I figured out how to encode .avi files into movies / TV shows that I could watch on my 45-minute commute to Incheon University, where I work teaching English. I was in heaven!

Then the upgrade to 1.6 was announced, and I was VERY excited at the possibility of getting my WiFi issue (mentioned above) resolved. So I spent quite a few hours over the weekend upgrading, which eventually succeeded. I'm still not caught up with re-installing apps, and the *.avi encoding system that I had perfected before has stopped working, and, of course, there is no WiFi update to address my problem.

But, I still love my phone, because it's an MP3 player, Digital / Video Camera, GPS, PMP, portable Google device AND a phone (who cares!). I can overcome all the other technical hurdles with the help of fellow Eve'rs like you, and the AC community.

Are there better ones out there? Sure. Does it still give me headaches? Sure.

But I'm locked into a 2yr contract, so I might as well just suck it up and enjoy, right?

I've got the LG 620W - and manage to get a full days out of the battery.

I use the *#*#4636#*#* code to swap between high speed and GSM connections when I'm not using it, and this gives me at least a full day.

Also if you can switch to airplane mode at night (assuming you're able to) that saves a bit. Switching off the vibrate helps too.

As someone else pointed out, a task manager app is vital. For some reason things start running on their own on my phone. don't know why?

I'm fine with everything except the darn Wi-Fi problem. The problem that involves your Wi-Fi getting turned off when your screen locks. I don't have a data plan, and it's going to get extremely costly because I use Twitter and Facebook on my phone as well.

I've tried downloading (note: downloading, I haven't even proceeded to installing) WiSync and KeepWiFi, but both end up as "download unsuccessful". Is it because of its compatibility with 1.5/Cupcake? Either way, I need a similar app. Any suggestions?

And I was kinda hoping (sorry if I'm wishing for too much) that my Facebook and Twitter or any app that utilizes internet connection would get turned off when my Wi-Fi's off.

Any help? I don't want this phone to turn out as something less than what it was supposed to be.
