i like how that case doesnt change the n1's form. sleek and clean design too, some cases are way too intrusive looking. but this one is very nice indeed
I recently bought a case for my Nexus One, which showed up yesterday. After reading a few threads, scouring the internet for information on every possible case available, I settled on purchasing the Seidio Innocase II.
I've owned many of cases for tons of different phones. Everything from hard plastic snap on cases to leather and of course neoprene (rubbery gel cases).
Anyway, the reason I went with this case was because it was super low profile. It only adds 2mm of bulk in each direction. That means you're adding 4mm total to the width of the phone, and 4mm to the height as well. Another selling point was that the case itself has a rubber grippy texture. It's different then what the phone has on the back, but shares similar properties.
The grip itself is rubbery, but slick enough to let you slide it into your jeans or similar without issue. When I had my old neoprene cases, they would stick on everything which was an unfortunate side effect. Also, the neoprene when heated up turns into a liquid oil magnet and is really nasty to handle. This case doesn't have any of those issues due to the materials they used.
As far as the construction goes, it's basically a hard plastic case which has a rubbery exterior. The back portion of the case which is against the battery panel is felt-lined, and protects the phone from being scratched from the case during a drop or similar (I've had this happen before with an old LG Chocolate, the hard snap on case would scratch the sides horribly).
The fitting of the case is amazing. It's perfectly snug, yet the case is removable by just pulling and wiggling the bottom half of the phone (there's a tab which holds it in place). It slides off and allows you to easily get to the battery panel if necessary.
I paid $23 for the case, which is far more then I would normally spend on any type of protection for my phone. I usually go with the "eBay special", but this case caught my eye with it's sleek design and thin form factor. Was it worth the money? Definitely.
Reception-wise I haven't noticed any issues, but it's only been 1 day. I'll update should anything noticeable happen.
To view pictures of the case as well as purchase for your N1, here's a link to Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocas.../dp/B0036DDD98
There's also a version which features a clip, should you want it.

Yeah, the pictures really don't even do it enough justice. I noticed a little bit of extra bulk when it's in my pocket from the additional thickness, but it's still really thin for any type of case I've ever used. I was just happy it wasn't like the typical gel case, where when it heats up it absorbs the oil from your hands and becomes slippery. Also they're typically really thick.
If I ever drop the phone, I'll report back with what damage if any was done.![]()

Looks that offer a lot of protection![]()
That's the same case I got, only I ordered it with the holster. I think the minimal extra thickness makes it easier for me to handle. And as Scythe I haven't dropped mine yet to test the protection.
