    Word is: no.

Interesting to see if it could be written though. I know on the iphone, there's an aspect of that service that relies on ATT's network and some info they have to process and feed your phone. --So my friend with an iphone on ATT without a data plan doesn't have this feature, for example, nor would we, if we used an iphone on TMobile.

I can't remember when the last time was that I had more than one voicemail at a time anyway, to tell you the truth.

    you want visual voice mail???
got to http://www.youmail.com i use it with the iphone on the tmo network and it is sweet.........and best of all........it's FREE!!!!!!!!!! You get visual voice mail, you can check your voice mail on the phone or online, and you can have it alert you via email, and text when you get a new VM. so if your at work and have no service it can alert your work email you have a VM and you can go online and check it or you can set it up to attach an MP3 of the voicemail to the email. IT rocks

I use YouMail to, very nice -- if the caller is in your contact list, or their caller-id contains their first name, they are greeted by name. One thing about using it with T-Mobile though is that it won't activate the MWI (message-waiting-indicator) voicemail icon on your phone, it'll just send you a text message. Text messages often take a while to reach you, and sometimes don't arrive at all -- so it's not the best solution for voicemail notifications. AT&T users are luck, as it does work with their MWI. It isn't the fault of YouMail though -- AT&T has made the option available, T-Mobile won't allow outside services to offer this feature

I asked this same question in one of the other visual voice mail threads, but it wasn't answer. I still don't know the answer, so I will try again. What is meant by visual voice mail?
