I know there are some pretty trick calculators on the market, but has anyone heard of any work on a mini-matlab? I'd love the ability to do some complex matrix calculations or run a custom script in a matlab environment without having to bring my laptop to the lab.
-Nexus one rooted and running Kang-o-rama 0.6
-G1 running cyanogen 4.1.12 (sold!)

Check the market, there is a 'Matlab remote' available. Its not 'mini-matlab' because it requires a desktop matlab connection and uses your computer to do all the processing...but close.
If it is a linux box running matlab, you can just ssh and run it remotely.

Hi, I'm actually just doing that, it will probably bee on the
Market in two weeks. It's a port of jasymca to Android. Only have some
Stuff on plotting left. It's currently named Droidlab.
I have created a mobile matlab just recently. The app name is Addi. The source code and some info about it can be found here addi.googlecode.com . I am working on plotting now.
Cool, sounds like a challenging project![]()

If you are interested in remotely command a PC installed Matlab software, you could try Matlab Commander in the Android Market.
