extra desktop space?

i'm not sure if this could work or not, but i think it would be useful to be able to drag the desktop area up and down in addition to the left and right areas already provided.

i own a droid (running android 2.0) and the 3 pages of desktop is starting to get a little cluttered :\

I would suggest searching for a cooked rom for the Droid( or sholes, it may help) and see what you find. Cyanogen added more home screens for roms on the g1 and magic, the pulse rom's 6 pane hm screen was awesome, if you can root and find a working pulse rom for the Droid I think you would love it.

I would try GDE, it's on the market.

It can have up to five screens, and you can set it to look pretty close to the normal desktop.
