Yahoo mail using WIFI ??

Can anyone confirm that a Yahoo Plus account will get around the WIFI connection error issue? It makes sense that POP would be blocked without Plus, but I don't have an ISP or other POP email with which to test.

Google supports POP... you could try that ;p

Clearly, switching email accounts is one solution (which I was hoping to avoid by visiting this forum). If that is inevitable, I would like to know for sure. So, has anyone succeeded in getting Yahoo mail plus to work over wifi on android? If so, and yahoo is knowingly curtailing access, I'll switch accounts to a more forward-looking service & join plus just to enable forwarding.
