What i dont like about the g1!

evertime im holding my phone in a way or typing i can feel a lil movement in the back cover like the upper part and i looked at like 5 other g1s and there all doin the same thing.

aim really sucks i cannot see anybody is icons or set a custom away message or away message at all! takes a while sometimes to connect even on wifi or 3g and to load up the buddies! cant put my buddies in the order i want them to be! the sidekick lx was way better with the ota u can do pretty much everything on aim!

cant watch video from websites!

i had the phone restart on its own 2 times!

battery percentage sometimes goes up a bit when i turn off my phone and turn it back on! must be a glitch or issue with the device? now with the lx when u turned ur phone off and back on u loose battery life.

but what can u expect for $179? i mean still this phone is awesome

what i don't like about the G1? well the people that complain about it and then keep it , i'm sorry but if your not happy just return the unit and get something else, i haven't found a perfect phone yet n i know it won't be one anyway, so what i do is try to get the most out of what i have and enjoy it

AGREED. learn to love it. it sounds like your had a sidekick before the G1, based on your whinning about the aim. you could always go back?

I have never owned a phone that ppl love and hate 4 the same reason this much in my life. My phone has worked perfectly since I've had it. Are ppl makin this stuff up cuz most of these problems (besides battery life) are alien 2 me

I mean dont forget this is the first phone running on the android platform thats out. Its not gunna be perfect theres gunna be bugs here and there. I love the phone but the only dislike is battery life of course. All the small stuff like that will be fixed overtime with updades so im not worried about any bugs it has here and there at the moment.

It does have a sound recorder. But you have to download Anycut to find it. Do a search for voice recorder in the forums.
