Cool what day are we supposed to recieve the update by?

Is there a specific date that the last update will be rolled out by? I know it's random but is there a point where all g1 owners should have the update by?

good question...i awoke this morning to a message about the update...i clicked yes and it updated...i have no clue to what is supposed to be contained in the update but i sure hope that the calling waiting feature is fixed because currently all of my calls are sent straight to the voice mail when i'm on the phone

read somewhere, where somebody said they had talked to tmobile customer service and november 9 was when all the ota updates would be out.

now of course thats not the most substantiated evidence, but its all I got.

Did you go into Settings and check Call Settings, Additional Call Settings and make sure that Call Waiting is checked? My call waiting has worked several times since I've been using the phone. Just something to check and make sure it is selected...

Use the "ANYCUT" App and create a shortcut for "Device Info" and you can Search for upgrade....mine worked right away...

Tried that and it didn't work. I want to see if rc29 fixes battery issue.

Shouldn't the update be available to everyone at the same time .Like when apple, micosoft , Nintendo ,etc rolls out a update ? What makes android diffrent ?

because spreading out the update over time reduces the load on the network. otherwise everyone would be using data at the same time and the network couldn't take that sort of load.
