I charged mine yesterday afternoon and took it off the charger before goign to bed. Woke up and the battery was at 86%. I turned off 3G and went to work. I've had the screen on for only two hours (turned 3G on for a few minutes while showing off tunewiki) and the rest of the time was surfing the web over edge or playing bonzani blast. Now battery is at 29% already.

I started playing with my phone right out of the box.. then i plugged it in and started playing with it some more..

went to bed, plugged it in charged for about 6 hours, came to work, have been messing with it (Texting, Google Talk, looking at pictures) and showing off Shop Savvy and Shazam to co-workers, non stop since about 8:30 this morning... and right now it's about 2:30 and it's about half way empty or full or whatever.

I took this from another site. Hope it helps.

So I wanted to share what I did to extend my battery life. Yesterday I used it for about 4 hours and went from 100% to 18%.

Today I've been texting, sending ims in google and msn, and making calls all morning. Not to mention I have an app running that updates my cell position every 15 mins and I have wifi on all day.

So I went into the carrier settings and turned off the 3g, let it drain all the way and recharge overnight, and turned off search for wifi all the time.

So I took it off the charger at 8am and its now 2pm. 52% battery left. Not to mention I'm posting from it now.
It seems the search for WiFi all the time setting helped him out.

Mine is at 30%...had it on since 9:55am, I'm actually training it now...it seems to lose power (%wise) faster at first then it seems to slow down...once its at its lowest I'm going to turn it off and charge it fully...then tomorrow I'm going to try the same thing and see if that works.

Oh and this is with screen brightness at about 75% and wifi on for about 4.5 out of those 5.75 hours

It is a small battery remember. What I have noticed is it charges quickly, however when it reads 100% its still trickle charging - if you take it off the charger immediately - expect to drop quickly. My advice - leave it on the charger(the real charger not usb) for say 15 - 30 mins past 100% - if possible.

In the booklet I noticed it says you should turn off Wi-Fi in order to save battery power. The only thing so far I've seen that requires Wi-Fi is downloading music. So just go into your settings and turn it off... if the phone needs it it will prompt you to enable it.

I've been on my phone non-stop for about 7 1/2 hours now and I'm at about 1/4 power... so nothing amazing but its certainly not bad considering how long I've been on it.

Conversely my father has an iPhone and has to charge his about every 15 hours or so even when he doesn't use it, so when compared, the battery life is the same, give or take, if not better.

GPS on is about the biggest battery sucker in the phone.

I was thinking "wow the battery is not too bad"

then i turned on gps and 20 minutes later that battery was half what it was.

    So keep that GPS off.

They need to do a firmware update that only turns it on when you're using the maps app.

..heh but then Big Brother wouldnt be able to shoot a missle at you from an unmanned drone, now would he?
