Oh god! 3rd one i`ve read today![]()
so i get my phone turn it on play around with it for about 10 minutes, then it freezes...none of the buttons work, screen isn't responding, nothing is working. So i do what i've done with all my phones after they freeze, remove the battery. well i guess that was a bad idea...now when i turn it on whatever i do ends up freezing the phone just like before...i guess thats what you get for paying 350 dollars and waiting for a month...

thats normal its going to be some bad ones out there I have other phones that is had to send back i have the bb pearl i had to return it three times, a family member a Razor return it twice mine is going good so far hope they send you another quick it seem like a good phone
This can happen to any company out there that is relaseing a product. Its just bound to happen.
I would call T-Mobile and have them send you a new one. Dont bash the G1 because a handfull out of a few hundred thousand didnt work right.
Did the packaging show signs of damage, ie. Does it look like UPS driver used it as a football and punted it?
Sorry to hear that man. It is bound to happen to somebody, sorry it was you. Thanks for taking it for the team, though!
Goodbye Sidekick 2008.
Hello Black G1.
Oh no, i love this device so i'm not going to hate it because t-mobile won't help me out. i called t-mobile spent an hour and i ended with some jerk telling me that the phone is on back order and i'll get it between 3 and whenever business days...
I went to the t-mobile store closest to me down the street and they said they had 20 of the t-mobile g1's ready to sell on the 22nd, so i asked the supervisor i was talking to on the phone if i could just go get one of those and she said no i can't, even if i goto the store there is going to be a line. i told her i need to be at the front of the line because i have already paid, so technically i am at the front of the line!
So i spent hours and hours talking to them and ended with the address to ship my broken phone, a fax number to the public relations office(which is going to get a lot of crap from me) and no working phone....
This is what i get for paying t-mobile before the phone even comes out...you get punished. All they could do to say sorry is give me 100 extra minutes, which i don't need....
I'm pretty pissed at this point.

id be pissed too, sorry to hear about your problem with the G....hope u can get this resloved sooner than later
Have you tried doing a factory reset? If everything is freezing try booting into safe mode...hold the menu button down when you power it on. and continue to hold it pass the android screen. Then try going to settings\SD card & Phone Storage\Factory Data Reset
Worth a try if you haven't tried already.
