videos play from gmail and flip with screen

ok so i was sending some emails to my gmail and 1 had a video attached so i clicked on preview and it started playin,the screen was longways s usual but it turned when i flipped the phone so did the lock screen when it locked on the video

i wasnt able to get simple jpegs attached in an email to work very well.

the gmail client couldnt "fetch" them when i hit "view"

and if i went directly to gmail in the browser, the thumbnails didnt show- the "view all" didnt work, and the "view" didnt work. (it all works fine on a computer)

only "download" would show the picture- and i had to DL the whole thing.

hmmm arent the people who made android the same people who run gmail? isnt .jpg a pretty common file format?

i sent them from my sidekick and on my gmail client it dosent say view it says preview and it plays when i click preview.

That's just weird...why would they include the codecs but not the player
