Using pen/stylus to draw on screen?

I wonder if it is possible to use some sort of pen or stylus to draw on the screen? Since it's not a touch-screen but conductive, what stylus material would work?

I would eventually like to use the G1 to practice Japanese & Chinese Characters in combination with a flashcard & drawing program.

no, similar to the iphone you can buy certain static styluses

This dagi stylus works very well even on drawing, handwriting, play games and so on.
