Unlocked G1

I am buying a 2 week old unlocked G1. If I do a master reset will that lock the phone again? I just want to get rid of whatever she had on it. I really don't care if it is unlocked or locked it will be my backup G1.

Yeah it should

Settings > SD card & phone storage > Factory data reset

preforming a wipe shouldnt lock the phone if it was unlocked to begin with...

I don't see why doing a master reset would lock the phone. If it did, would the old unlock code work again?

Once unlocked, you will not be asked for the code again.

what if i root my phone and install any of the ROMS out there will that LOCK my phone ?

I have unlocked mine and after reset, I didn't need to put the code again.
