For thoses who can't wait 90 days ( but agree to wait 48H) :
www.unlock-tmobileg1.com <- $22.9 for T-Mobile G1 Unlocking by IMEI
they just emailed the unlock code n it worked, YYYEEESS!!!!
interesting...
i called and thet said 14 day wait, which is fine with me since I'm not needing it til December. Couldn't be bothered calling again to get different CSR rep - but well done on your persistence!
I called T-mo the day after I got my G1 to request for the unlock code. Got the code in the email in less than 24 hrs. Major kudos to T-Mobile services, they've always been top notch to me. You'll need a none t-mobile sim card to unlock your phone.
The service rep. did give me some hassle and refused to send the code at first. I told her that I'm leaving on an overseas biz trip in a few weeks and must have my phone by then ... no question asked after that.
Disclaimer: I've been a long time T-Mo customer since 2003 & YMMV.
took too long, I purchased and unlock code from
http://unlockg1mobile.com
and code came along with the instructions in email with in 2 hrs for my second phone, I got my wife's unlocked in 20 mins.
