Ok, not trying to pour cold water on this, I'd be happy with this date. However they don't quote any source for this. Just saying "It's Official" is not enough, they have to say where they got the info. Incidently what I and others have been told its a day later on the 1st November, maybe this site just wanted an excuse to do a lot of crap Halloween related jokes.

But we will 31st means 9 days. 9 days of living torture hearing how great the phone is a how great the apps are. by the time we get ours and we start saying isn't this great, you guys will all be saying "Oh thats old news".

I think them getting it 9 days before us brits is not a bad thing. yes we av to put up with all the peeps telling us how great it is but if there is any big problems we might find out before we get our G1's.
I have taken the 1st week in Nov off as holiday so the release date in the UK better be the 1st Nov or i will be well pissed
