On the wall charger both are showing the following;
Input: 100 - 240v
Amps: 0.2 (or 200mA), 50 - 60Hz
Output: 5V 1A LPS
The input, amp and output are all listed the same, theyre both HTC devices.
The only difference I can see is in the battery;
Dash: 3.7VDC @ 960mAh
G1: 3.7VDC @ 1150mAh
The way Im reading it, if your upgrading drom a Dash to a G1, you have a second charger for it laying around.
as well as the old school razr, and any other phone that uses a miniusb connection.
Im always careful what charger I plug into what phone. If the output is wrong for the battery it can damage your battery.
yup its all good! sure would be nice if i could use my dash batteries though...
can we use the black berry charger for the g1
My wife has a Motorola Razor and the same mini usb connector to charge it, BUT the rating on the transformer is 550ma and the G1's is 1a (1000ma).
That said, it wouldn't hurt it, but it may not fully charge the G1.
I also have my old Razr car charger that I'd used for my Dash, and now using for the G1. Doesn't charge as fast as the Dash or G1 wall chargers did, but it charges nonetheless. I haven't tried the Razr wall charger, but it worked fine for the Dash also.
