i post this last night also...I try doing the samething but the refreshing stay there and nothin happen too. The best thing I think we should do is find a phone that can delete txt from the simcard. This sucks for real
I have several text messages saved on my sim card, but when I try to pull them up on my G1 ("Manage SIM card messages" in the messaging app), it gets stuck on "Refreshing..." and nothing comes up. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I keep getting a message on the G1 saying my sim is full and to delete some messages, but I can't get them to even come up.![]()

Awww man, don't tell me I have to stick the SIM back in my sidekick and then delete the messages???
Ah well, I just put my sim back in my sidekick and then deleted the messages. Problem solved I guess...
I didn't have to do anything, they just popped up randomly for me "Messages on SIM almost full." slid down the notification bar and it gave me an option to delete all the messages.
Well, I'm glad your messages came up. Mine is still doing the 'refreshing... ' thing!!! I really don't want to have to delete all my messages, I think I have a sim reader around somewhere...
just 4 kicks & gigles...
UPDATE: I was having the same issue again (even though I deleted the messages from the SIM, so I went to a T-Mobile store and they gave me a new SIM card. Problem fixed! Now, it doesn't stay on refreshing anymore - it actually does what it's supposed to do.
Is storing msgs on your sim card an option? I have a couple hundred texts in my messaging app. When I go to check the messages stored on my sim card, I only see one and it's from T-mobile.
