Text message time is messed up??

How can I change the time settings for text message, for some reasons, the time shown is always 4 hours sooner. How can i make it that it follows the g1 system time. Its really messed up I know...

has it always been like that? that used to happen sometimes with my tmo wing, but then some how it fixed itself. weird?

Are you with TMobile? Different cell phone companies receive time-zone info from different places. Your issue is probably due to the fact that there is extra time-zone adjustment happening.

Up here in Canada, we are having this exact problem. The cell tower adjusts time wrt time-zone then the phone does it again, adding 5hrs to the SMS timestamp that shouldn't be there

No fix currently known..

You can adjust your time-zone info but then your GMAIL calendar,etc will be out of sync

Hey there,

I'm also up in Canada using the G1 Dev edition on rogers. Maybe we can write a little app to fix the timestamps on incoming messages. Would you guys be interested in this?
